Following her nursing career, Mel transitioned into recruitment, initially specialising in Administration and Accounting recruitment before moving into Talent Acquisition with one of Australia’s largest healthcare organisations. This experience gave her valuable insight into recruitment from both an agency and internal organisational perspective, including the importance of identifying not only the right skills, but the right fit for a team and its culture.
Mel has also recruited across a range of sectors, including healthcare, through The Effective People Group, where she is a Co-Director. Her broad recruitment experience has given her a strong understanding of the employment market, candidate expectations and the factors that influence successful, long-term appointments.
Through OMNIA Clinical Talent, Mel has brought this experience together with a clear focus: helping medical practices find exceptional administrative professionals who can make a genuine difference to the way a practice operates.

Melinda Whitechurch is the Director and Lead Recruiter at OMNIA Clinical Talent, specialising in the recruitment of experienced medical administration professionals for private medical practices, specialist rooms, surgical practices, allied health and healthcare organisations.
With more than 20 years of experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, Mel brings a combination of recruitment expertise, clinical understanding and commercial insight to every appointment she manages.
Mel began her career as a Registered Nurse, gaining firsthand experience within clinical environments and an understanding of the demands placed on healthcare teams. Her clinical background gives her a perspective that sets her apart from many recruiters. She understands medical terminology, the importance of confidentiality and patient care, the requirements of working within a clinical environment, and the critical role that an effective administrative team plays in keeping a practice operating smoothly.
